Mein alter Thread sagt viel über den Sinn des Teilchens aus.
Vll kann mir ja jemand helfen, der noch ein bissl mehr Fachwissen hat und auch weis, welche Marke gut sind oÄ.
Ich hab inzwischen über ein NAS-System nachgedacht, weils kleiner, energie-effizienter und kostensparender ist.

Kann ich das hierfür auch verwenden?
Wie immer sind meine Anforderungen relativ hoch:
- Backupfunktion meiner "eigenen dateien, anwendungsdaten, trillian, ts2, usw." -> automatisch alle 4 tage backups anlegen von meinem und ellis rechner
- archiv -> dateien aufheben ;-)
- Raid -> spiegeln der festplatten / ausfallsicherheit
- automatische downloads (evtl mit downloadprogrammen wie cryptload?/ router reconnect)
- verschlüsselung per truecrypt + USB stick
- evtl webserver funktion
- stromsparend!!! -> dauerlauf? teuer!
- leise -> lüfter kann man evtl tauschen
- min 500GB verwendbar -> 2 * 500gb platte
- kosten nja ;-) ka...

ich glaub der entscheidende punkt is Energieeffient also was zieht des teil an Watt.
hier Testbericht <-- vor allem die Kommentare sind recht interssant zwecks eigenbau und so
stromsparende Festplatten
vielleicht kann man auch irgendwie das hier als anreitz nehmen

Ich find das Teil gut! als alternatieve würde mir wie gestern schon besprochen das Western Digital My Book einfalleen (world edition)
aber glaube fast, das du mit dem hier besser dran bist.

Hmm das mit der Verschlüsselung, ob das mit dem klappt?
Wenn du die Platte per Truecrypt verschlüsselst, kann dir das NAS ja nicht das Backup fahren, da er ja nicht auf die Platte zugreifen kann.
