Vereehrte Gäste und Freunde,

in 8 Wochen ist es wieder so weit und der Gamers' Congress öffnet wieder seine Pforten für Euch. Nochmals möchten wir uns bei Euch für das entgegengebrachte Vertrauen bedanken und sind nach wie vor baff, wie schnell die Veranstaltung dieses Jahr ausverkauft war.

Da nun langsam wieder alle aus der Sommerpause zurückkehren und wir uns mit großen Schritten dem 29. September nähern, hier ein paar Informationen und Updates rund um die Veranstaltung.

Sitzplan und Reservierungen

Wie jedes Jahr werden wir den Sitzplan zusammen mit einer entsprechenden News auf der Homepage veröffentlichen. Ebenso wird es wie jedes Jahr eine Möglichkeit geben, eine entsprechende Sitzplatzvergabe für größere Gruppen durchzuführen. Hierbei wird unser Thanquol wieder Euer Ansprechpartner sein, sobald der entsprechende Sitzplan veröffentlicht ist. 

Derzeit haben wir noch ein technisches Problem einen Sitzplan zu veröffentlichen und arbeiten im Hintergrund fleißig mit unserem Hoster daran dieses zu lösen. Sobald das Problem gelöst ist, geht es los!

Turniere

Unsere Turnierorgas arbeiten aktuell an der Liste der Turniere und werden diese baldigst online stellen. Wir evaluieren auch aktuelle Spiele im Hinblick auf LAN Tauglichkeit und Turniermöglichkeiten. Der entsprechende Onlinezwang mancher Spiele macht uns hier leider bei so manchen Spielen jedoch einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Im Forum eröffnen wir dazu einen Thread. Gerne könnt Ihr uns dort Eure Spielvorschläge unterbreiten, bitte beachtet jedoch, dass wir nicht jedes genannte Spiel als Turnier umsetzen können, werden aber jeden Vorschlag ernsthaft prüfen.

Internet

Uns erreichten Anfragen und Nachrichten zum Thema Internet, die wir an dieser Stelle kurz behandeln möchten. Wir haben, wie die letzen Jahre, eine Business Event Internet Leitung der Telekom mit einer maximalen Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 100Mbit/s im Downstream, das ist das Maximum, das momentan an der Location möglich ist. (LTE / 5G ist nach wie vor keine valide Option, da die Netzabdeckung unzureichend ist, Starlink prüfen wir derzeit).

Leider ist uns eine Erhöhung dieser Geschwindigkeit nicht möglich und es tut uns natürlich sehr leid, wenn Gäste ankündigen, nicht zu kommen, wenn kein schnelleres Internet vorhanden ist.

Wir setzen natürlich im Netzwerk auf Caching Technologien wie LANCache und Steamcache, jedoch möchten wir ausdrücklich darauf hinweisen, dass wir eine LAN Party Veranstaltung sind, kein Internet Café. Für uns steht das Miteinander und der Spaß in der Gemeinschaft im Vordergrund, wenn da mal der ein oder andere Twitch Stream oder ein YouTube Video mal nicht laden, möchten wir uns dafür bereits im Vorfeld entschuldigen. Wir werden natürlich wieder jede Menge Side Events und Fun Turniere anbieten um Euch mit Kurzweil zu versorgen.
